It has been five years since we borrowed our first baby carrier, this was a well worn Macpac Vamoose, we were so impressed with the comfort and quality we went out and bought the smaller brother Macpac Possum. Since our first child came on the scene we have managed to enlarge our family to the sum of five children, all of whom have also ridden in the Possum.
As the last two additions were twins we added to the Possum with a Vaude Jolly Comfort. Again once fitted properly the jolly comfort is a fantastic back carrier.
Unfortunately now that the twins are starting to walk quite well both carriers will be redundant and will probably find themselves on that well known auction site.
I find it quite sad to say goodbye to them as they have given faultless performance, especially the Possum as it has gone to the top of Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scafell with a small child in.
We have found that the back carrier is one of those “you will never go back products”. We hope that if you already use one or intend to buy one you will feel the same.
